MARINA Consortium members joined thousands at this year’s Nor-Shipping exhibition in Oslo. The event marked the largest gathering of the maritime industry since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The team engaged with a wide variety of maritime professionals while discussing the industry’s immediate need for a sustainable contact & collision avoidance solution – such as the MARINA project’s Ladar system- specifically for high-speed shipping and vessel traffic management purposes. What sets the MARINA project’s solution apart is the combination of state-of-the-art real-time processing with an advanced object detection and classification algorithm based on the machine learning method.
